A few days ago while driving, I clearly heard the Lord speak to my spirit and say: “I am going to bring forth a resurgence of prayer groups”
– When I heard this, I had a rush of vision/ and picutres come to mind of all sorts of people and ages gathering in all types of places and locations for the simple purpose to ‘seek the Face of God, and pray as the Holy Spirit leads’.
Fast forward to early this morning as I awoke from a dream. In the dream, I found myself walking into a gathering of believers. The room was full of brilliant light… and in that place I immediately received prophetic revelation and said:
“Now I know by the Spirit of the Lord, that I heard the Word of the Lord, and God is surely going to bring forth a resurgence of prayer groups.” – dream end.
There is something about the ‘unpolished’, ‘unfiltered’, ‘un-institutionalized’, quality of ‘prayer groups’ that can lay hold of God like nothing else can. Prayer groups offend the religious, irritate the arrogance of the intellectual, annul our agendas, conflict the controllers, confuse the calculating, and terminate ‘our time’.
The new testament church of Jesus Christ was birthed from a ‘prayer group’ in an upper room. The Holy spirit and fire fell first in a prayer group!
In so much of what we call modern church- functions largely without any mention, or culture of prayer groups. Maybe that is why the Holy Spirit and fire rarely fall in what we have built. Maybe the prayer groups are God’s way of getting His body off the ‘bench’ and back into the game! He doesn’t care if it messes with the systems and structures that are built in His name.
News flash.. God will not be manipulated to back up, empower, or endorse prayerlessness!! Only Those who seek God find Him!
The good news.. God is now going to bring forth a resurgence of prayer groups!!
I believe this means that ‘MANY’ are going to begin to find grace again to gather for prayer.. His face will become the agenda! The Holy Spirit will again be the instructor and open up the scriptures to us!
Prayer groups will make room again for Jesus to be the baptizer with the Holy Spirit and fire!
In this word about prayer groups, I sense the passion of the Lord to move again in power! He will not surrender His Glory to flesh, nor to the will of man, nor to the resistance of darkness!
Lord, we agree with you, and say bring forth a resurgence of the prayer groups!
In this day we ask “teach us how to pray”!
