An Israel and Syrian Conflict: President Bashar al-Assad will be Overthrown.

In the early morning hours of the Prayer Shield watch on April 28, 2016 while waiting upon the Lord, suddenly the nation of Syria came once again into my spirit. This phrase like an alarm sounded off in me, “Anoint Hazael to be king over Syria.” I said, “This can’t be so Lord, Hazel was a wicked man!” As I began to pray through this and the meaning of the phrase I was shown that President Bashar al-Assad will be overthrown and another will take his place as King of Syria. I saw that just as Syria was about to recover and was looking to stabilize itself, he will be taken out.
“And the LORD said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria:” 1 Kings 18:15
When I saw what the Lord was saying I recognized that this wasn’t just a word for the people of Syria, but a warning for the nation of Israel to prepare to defend itself against her enemies. Historically Hazael was a high officer in the service of Ben-hadad II, king of Syria. He had been sent by his sick king to inquire of the prophet Elisha whether the king would recover of his sickness or not. As Hazael stood before Elisha with the king’s question of whether he would live or die, Elisha made this response; “Go, say unto him, Thou shalt surely recover; howbeit God hath showed me that he shall surely die.” Then Elisha looked intensely at Hazael and wept, explaining to him that he would become a king that would bring horrible cruelties against the children of Israel: “Their strongholds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash in pieces their little ones, and rip up their women with child” (2 Kings 8:12). Hazael denied the very thought of such things against the people of Israel, but Elisha assured him that the Lord had shown him that he was to be king of Syria and do these travesties to the children of Israel. The Bible speaks that as soon as Hazael had delivered the message of Elisha to the king his heart began to conspire an evil plan to end king Ben-hadad’s life, and “He took the coverlet, and dipped it in water, and spread it on his face, so that he died: and Hazael reigned in his stead” (2 King 8:15). It wasn’t long after Hazael took rule that he found an occasion to invade Israel.
There will certainly be regime change in the days to come, I have seen this and it will come to pass, but we must pray for the Middle East because of the spiritual and physical impact that this will have, especially for the nation of Israel. There will be a great need to intercede on behalf of Israel like never before because of what will happen in Syria. While I believe that Bashar al-Assad has done terrible things to the people of Syria to remain in power; I was shown that the man who will take his place will be far worse then Assad, he has darkness in his soul and wickedness in his heart. He will have a tremendous hate for Israel and the Jewish people. I see he will seek for Israels destruction by any means necessary. My spirit has been very grieved by this and what I have seen coming upon Syria to the point of weeping over the situation. I felt like Elisha as he spoke with Hazael concerning his reign as king over Syria.
“And Hazael said, Why weepeth my lord? And he answered, Because I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strong holds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash their children, and rip up their women with child. And Hazael said, But what, is thy servant a dog, that he should do this great thing? And Elisha answered, The LORD hath shewed me that thou shalt be king over Syria.” 2 Kings 8:12-13
I feel that this revelation of regime change came to me as a warning for Israel and those who love her. It is time to pray the proper alignments in the world for Israel to secure her safety and security in the coming days. It is vitally important that we place a hedge of angelic protection around the nation. Strategically begin to strike the ground with your prayers and begin to decree heavenly alignments into the nation, our intercession should be that Israel will overcome every attack of the enemy that will come out of Syria. It’s time we prayed that the Lord would release warrior angels on behalf of Israel and that the arrows of the Lord’s deliverance would be shot across the boarders if an attack should occur. We should pray that the Lord will send fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Benhadad. This is the prayer strategy I was shown to release to the body of Christ on how to pray for Israel at this time. Change is coming and we need to be prepared for the future. My hope is that many of you will heed this warning not taking it lightly, but lifting up a banner of prayer for the nation of Israel like never before!
